The Malta ClimAccelerator Program 2023 is designed to provide specialized support and funding opportunities to startups operating within the following thematic areas:

Eligibility:

To be eligible for this transformative program, startups must meet the following criteria:

• Scalable Solutions: Your startup should offer solutions with the potential to significantly impact or adapt to climate change within the thematic areas mentioned.
• Market Potential: Your products or services should demonstrate the potential to generate income across various geographical markets.
• Legal Incorporation: Your startup must be a legally incorporated entity.
• Global Presence: Startups from any location worldwide are encouraged to apply.
• Founder Competence: Founders should possess the necessary competencies, whether academic or scientific, to deliver the proposed solution.
• Technology Readiness Level (TRL): Your startup's technology should be at least at TRL 6 (Technology Readiness Level 6).
• MVP Ready: Your Minimum Viable Product (MVP) should be ready for piloting.

1. Introduction to Equity Investors: Showcase your startup to the ClimAccelerator Global Investor Network. Benefit from one-to-one pitching opportunities, unlocking critical access to strategic equity investors.

3. Guidance to Funding: Unlock the potential to apply for European and national R&D and growth funding, propelling the further development of your innovative solutions.

4. Minimum Viable Product Pilots: Explore the opportunity to pilot your MVP in Malta and Europe, gaining real-world validation for your solution.

5. Climate-SAFE Investment Agreement: Graduates of the ClimAccelerator program can access the Climate-SAFE/Climate Validation investment agreement, a €50,000 equity-as-a-service package provided by EIT Climate-KIC.

6. Global Visibility: Increase your global visibility by attracting potential clients and investors who share your mission and passion.

7. Access to Climate Tech Expertise: Tap into the guidance and expertise of an international climate tech industry network comprising experienced entrepreneurs and professionals.

9. Opportunity to Join the EIC Accelerator Program: Eligible startups will receive support to prepare their stage 1 application and develop their stage 2 application for the EIC Accelerator Program.

11. EU Startup Summit: Stand a chance to be selected to participate in the EU Startup Summit 2024, scheduled to take place in Malta on May 9–10.
