GWNET, in collaboration with the Clean Cooking Alliance (CCA) and Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL), is excited to announce the launch of its third cohort of the Women in Clean Cooking (WICC) Mentorship Program. Geared towards women in the clean cooking sector across Africa, Asia, and Haiti, this initiative builds on the success of previous cohorts to provide professional support and upliftment to women in the field.
SEforALL is a globally recognized organization working in partnership with the United Nations, governments, private sector entities, financial institutions, and civil society. It strives to accelerate actions that align with Sustainable Development Goal 7 (universal access to sustainable energy by 2030) and the Paris Agreement's climate targets. Qualification Requirements for Mentees and Mentors
To qualify as a mentee, you should meet the following criteria:
- National from Africa, Asia, or Haiti, working in any country within these regions.
- A woman with a strong interest in supporting Sustainable Development Goals 5 and 7 and promoting women's empowerment and gender equality
- In an early to mid-career position with 2 to 10 years of work experience.
Calling for Mentors
If you're a senior professional in the energy sector (preferably with clean cooking experience), you can contribute as a mentor. The commitment involves approximately 1 to 1.5 hours of engagement per month. The pairing process will be based on the alignment of mentee goals and mentor skills.
It's important to note that the program will be conducted in English, requiring professional proficiency.
